Default RE: MD/PA Guys Need Help Fletching Question

As said before buy your own jig. Lets figure you have 12 arrows you will be shipping out to get fletched, thats $24+shipping. If you ever want to have it done again that will be another charge, so your already at $50+ easy.

I bought a cheap fletcher last year the plastic bohning style that came with straight clamp and bought an extra right helical for all under $30 bucks on Ebay. I bought a 100 blazers for $13-$14 to my door and I actually went the cheap route with wraps and picked up some scrap vinyl at a local decal place for free.
I was fletching arrows in minutes, IT REALLY IS QUITE EASY... as long as you can comprehend put glue on vane stick vane on arrow...REPEAT!! Do a practice arrow first and you will be a fletching fool!
If worse comes to worse, there are plenty of good logical people on here that will basically walk you right through the whole process if you have any questions!!
You will save tons of money in the Long Run.....unfletched shafts are cheaper.... bulk vanes are cheaper...fletching yourself is cheaper.... plus you even get a sense of pride that you are using something that you built yourself!! I went with the cheap PLASTIC fletcher as I may only do a dozen arrows a year at most and it should last a lifetime, but if I had the extra $$$$ I would have went Jo-Jan or Bitzenburger route!!

Good Luck!! Do what you want but I know what I would(did) do!!

ohhh almost forgot you will have the glue price which will prob be 5-10 bucks I used Fletch Tite Platinum and havent had a problem with a single fletch coming off. I also just use the straight clamp and get as much offset as I possibly can while keeping good contact with the blazer to the shaft! Its probably a little more then 2 degrees but you can set it however you like!!
