I use a Summit Viper and I put my pack's straps over the top, then run the waist belt around the front of the stand, making sure that it is behind my stand shoulder straps. Nothing squeeks, shifts, or rattles....it is all tight. It can get heavy on a long walk, but I just imagine I'm back in the infantry toting a 70lb ruck, even though I'm quite a bit older than then.
I wish I could give you a picture, but my climber is five hours away on my lease.
Thanks Grizzlyman. I'm not worried about the weight I'm pretty fit and run and lift everyday. I've searched theinternet and found various ideas of what people have done. I plan on buying the Doyle's Deer Gear Hunting Hoist to attach my pack and bow to and pulling it up instead of worrying about a rope after I get up in the tree. I appreciate everybody's input on this subject. I hope that Summit is as quiet as everybody says it is.
