Without hijacking this thread

I started outwith a recurve(Ben Pearson) and after months of practice and lessons became a decent shot to 20 yards or so but never killed a deer. Then I bought a compound and shot great but never saw a deer or when I did flat out missed them. Then I took up archery elk hunting and killed a elk on the first archery hunt I ever took. That poor elk was the unluckiest elk God ever put on this green earth. One year of shooting a compound and I could easily shoot 2x as far as I ever shot with a recurve but I found myself feeling like a mechanic and not an archer. Just too complicated for my tastes
