I would. every time you shoot, the recoil will push the bullets out of the cases in the magazine. If They were loose enough they could push up against the nagazine and not feed.
We are talking a 30-06 which does not have a lot of recoil.I don't even crimp for the 300 ultramag and have had no problems at all,despite much more recoil..
