RE: broadhead weight
Somewhat depends on the weight of your arrow and requirements of the bow. Assuming your bow has a minimum arrow weight of 400 grns, your arrow will need to weight over 300 grns, without the tip, to hit that with an 85 grn broadhead. I agree with DNK that FOC (forward of center ratio) is very important in crossbow arrows. I like mine to be at least 20%. Therefore, I prefer Gold Tip Lazer II's with brass inserts and 2" Blazer vanes (no cresting). Coupled with a 100 grn broadhead (I like Slick Trick mags) gives me a 405 grn arrow with + 20% Foc. I get great accuracy and terminal performance with this combination from my 280 fps Phoenix and 315 fps Vortex. With the 350 fps Cyclone I up the broadhead weight to 125 grns. Same results.
