Default RE: The Age Old Question: Weight vs. Speed

The bottom line (for me anyway) is I want to use the bullet/caliber/load combination that will effectively do the job for the game I indend to bring home WITHOUT undue meat damage. I hunt because I love the activity, but I would not engage in it if I couldn't retrieve the meat. Therefore, I want to retieve as much meat as possible. Larger bullets can, in many instance, cause considerably more damage than smaller bullets........I'm not always looking for more damage....just the efficient kill while saving the meat. I'd never knock anybody's proven load........nor should they knock anybody elses. Ain't it great to have so many choices for so many purposes?
I'd never hesitate to to "UP" my bullet wieght if I needed it. But I would often hesitate to "UP" it if it was only to have more "hitting" power. If I don't have a sure shot I'll just pass and enjoy the scenery.
BTW,....where's Buckshot-Blain.....did he get the axe for his tirade????
