When I was stationed in Puerto Rico (3 years), my hunting was severely limited. Furthermore, the USCG and PR gun laws forced me to leave all of my gear with a buddy. Although it sucked, it didn't seem too bad because there were no reminders of hunting like cool weather, changing leaves or other hunters. The sadness was also lessened by an addiction to spear fishing, wreck divingand copious amounts of Corona and Medalla Cerveca. Time slips away quickly in the Caribbean.

If I had to live in the states and give it up, the amount would go way. 100K tax free minimum.
