While I agree with you in principle, huntingson.....the reason I wrote what "I" did was due to real-life experiences. I actually got pretty accurate shooting in the back yard. My advice to become EXTREMELY accurate stems from what I've witnessed in myself from time afield.
A live target....in a hunting environment....and your "misses" are magnified.
We don't need to live up to the nock-busting crowd.....but striving for that will make our misses less of an issue when the target's breathing and the blood is pumping.
A deer's vitals are about the size of a basketball. Send one through them (an area that size)and you're likely to be posing for harvest photos in record time. Conceded.
