Great point kid. Tell that to the whiners from out of state that come here knowing the rules, buy a piece of hunitng ground, and then scream when they cant hunt it every year. Fortunately, our legislature has been smart enough to protect a good thing. If you want to hunt quality, you have to wait in line with everybody else. Or move to Kansas or Illinois.
By the way, I have a friend whose neighbor's, uncle's, cousin's, son's best friend's foreign exchange student brother moonlights for North American Whitetail Magazine and he said it is all photoshop. Most of our bucks wont top 120.
Fletch ismistaken folks, there aren't any bucks in Iowa. What Fletch believes are bucks are just the grinches dogs with sticks tied to their heads. In fact, the last actual sighting of a buck here in Iowa was 1976 and the investigation report from DNR stated that it wasn't actually an Iowa Whitetail but just a Nebraska buck just passing through. I also know that no oneon this forumwants to go hunting dogs 'cause the meat is real stringey and really tough.
Phew! Glad I got that cleared up!
