Tech29 - another thing we do just to add more of an attractant is create a mineral site. We purchased molasses, salt and Hy-Phos Mineral (all 50 lb. bags) from a local feed store. We mixed it all up and in the corner of each food plot dug out an area and put this mixture on the ground and then poured water onto it. To begin with we put some corn on top the get the deer there. After they found it they have just tore it up. The ground has been dug out about 6 inches deep all over it. It' s fun watching the deer on the food plots. Each plot is at least an acre. The deer mainly eat the lablab we have planted but do hit the corn and minerals alot. Give us something to do in the off-season too!
