BUT,if you are in a stand on the side of a hill that is 40 feet high+ the stand height,then you might not want to shoot for what the rangfinder says,you will most likely miss.



So,it isn't bs,it is misrepresented at times and greatly misunderstood,but not bs.
Well said, my experience seems to be that I just know how to adjust instinctively, usually a couple inches low out to 20yds but have had to make a shot similiar to the example above where I had to aim waaay low on a steep angle at short distance. When you have to shoot straight down and parallax comes into play, that's when things can get tricky.
