those wintergreens are looking real good, i tried them 2 years ago and didnt have much luck, the weeds took over the plot faster than the wintergreens did
Thanks- before planting the
Wintergreens, I hit the area with
Round Up and let it sit two weeks. Then, I raked out the dead debris & cut out anything that was left & emergent. At that point, I put down 10 bags of Loam & 7 bags of a Manure/Humus mix. I put down some
10-10-10 Fertilizer & the
Wintergreens, then executed a "poor man's harows" by scratching/mixing everything up with a leaf rake turned upside down. I find that this last step really ensures good seed/soil contact and helps even things out (fertilizer, seed & Loam/manure/humus) in a very efficient manner.
