RE: Anybody tried Buffalo Bullet Sabots 375gr?
I shoot them all the time but have yet to harvest any game with them. I find them easy to load, and extremely accurate. I do know of one person that hunted elk with them. He loaded 110 grains of Triple Se7en 2f and shot a broadside shot. The bullet he told me expanded perfectly, and was under the skin on the off side.
I shoot them with normally 100 grains of powder in most rifles. In some of the shorter barrels I find 85 grains a better load. I see no reason why they would not be a superior hunting load, but again.. I have never harvested anything with them.
