I can't think of anywhere i don't want them to come in from as long as they make it infront of my stand but i can say that some ways are better than others like up wind as oppose to downwind where the scent goes.
Hence my question......with admittedly NO experience with the bomb. I've used scents, though.....and have often thought.....
If the scent is going downwind.....MY scent is going downwind. Which way do I NOT want the deer to come in from? DOWNWIND?
So.....what am I trying (most) to accomplish?
My dilemma.
Well thats true but would you rather a deer downwind smell more deer or you? Thats one school of thought. The other being, that you are in an elevated position, your scent and the scent from the Lure, of your choice, is on or near the ground. They will hit the ground in different spots, depending on winds and/or thermals and ridges and slopes, trees etc..the 2 may never meet!
As a side note I remember a few discussions about scent killers..where is the scent you are trying to kill going?? Kinda the same principle, you can have something working for you, or just wing it. Why even look that way??
