I have had the same results with the bomb. I think it is a hit or miss depending on if deer are in the area at that time. One technique I use is to spray it in bursts and use a grunt or bleat call. I have had several deer come in with that combination but wondered if the bomb really added anything. You can spray a wick if you like or just spray the ground. I have used it in my stand and seen deer do the lip curl when they smell it. One thing I have noticed is some does get spooked by it which is weird. Don't know if a dominate doe will run off other doe? To be honest, every experience I have had with any kind/brand of scent has given me the same results.

Personally, I think aerosol scent is the best way. You can use what you want/need and whatever is left in the can will stay fresh. I do not like to just click the top down and place the can somewhere. I have had several clog at the tip and then they are basically worthless. Plus, I think there will be human scent on the can itself.
