I agree with Robert. I have a Savage 7mm mag, and I love it. I really researched it, and I think I made the right choice. If you are a little shy about kick you should probably get a .270 I don' t think you can go wrong with either. Walmart has very good deals on combos. The scope that comes on it isn' t bad, but you might want to change it later. Very good investment for a little over $300. If you want something even cheaper check out a handirifle. They are single shots, but they are good guns for about $200. I am checking them out now, and they seem to be a great deal. I am getting a .44 mag in that, but it is a little undersized for a primary rifle.
