Scouting Help
Hey Folks,
In the past couple years, I have been depending on my hunting buddies to do all of the scouting and picking of where we want to setup blinds for the season. As I have gotten better at waterfowling, I feel the urge to get out there and scout out new locations so I can contribute to our hunts. However, I am only a novice when it comes to scouting and I was hoping to get some hints and/or suggestions from the group on specific things to look for (i.e.ways of methodically scouting a large region of land).
Up here in New England, we have a lot of coast line that makes for great hunting. That being said, I am much more interested in getting back into the fresh water and puddler ducks - they just taste that much better. I am sure many of the tactics that are used in other regions of the country should work just fine up here.
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Best Regards,
