Personally for myself... I have a bit of a moral dilema when dealing with yotes.

See.. first I hate them. They harass the deer.. cause me headache.. eat animals I shot before I get to them... etc.

But.. I also have great respect for them. Since I know they are only trying to live.. and they are a predator like I.

And then there is the fact I don't eat yotes. Which leads me to my dilema.

I've taken a few in my day. But with each one have felt almost wrong in doing so. Simply because my old man told me when I was a young lad to eat whatever I ever kill. And I don't eat yotes.

This is my own personal dilema. Not yours. I know the yote numbers are way unbalanced and getting higher near me.. and I know that many of the folks around here want me to take them out. I've been asked alot about it.

I've personally given myself a cap number. A number I know to put on the yotes.. and I will only take as many yotes up to that number. I did last year and I will do it again.

If a young yote came across me.. I'd likely let it walk.
