Default RE: Christened The 82nd

Thanks for all the comments guys.

I shoot fingers, I guess because I always have. I have not found it a problem so far with the 82nd but if it does cause me problems I am prepared to go with a release.

We had the bunny for dinner last night, he was tasty!

Very nice.

I have 1 question, was it taken legally?
Yes it was legal, I am in New Zealand and rabbits are an introduced species here which in many areas are a real pest. There are no natural predators, but weasels, stoats and ferrets were introduced which took more of a liking to the native bird life so they are now pests too, apart from that the odd domestic cat or dog preys on them.

Rabbits can be taken with a rifle, bow, traps, poisoned, dogged, or you can throw rocks at them if you like.
Myximitosis was even introduced about 10 years ago but the effects have worn off and most populations of rabbits are now at least partially immune.

Deer are a pest too we can hunt them all year round but the government does controlled poison drops, and helecopter operators cull them from the air as well so they are very wary.
