How about this..... Advice to beginners..... It is recommended to shootat the 1st legal deer that gives you a good chance. BUT if said deer is one that you really wouldn't be happy with, don't shoot. HOWEVER, if looking to gain overall experience, you might not want to be too picky or you'll restrict yourself from experiencing everything that is involved with killing a deer.


And Jeff, I have one teeny nit pick with a common theme of yours. The whole "mile of difference between shooting at a deer and putting it on the ground". For many that may be true, but for some that mile can be more expressed in feet or inches. If bowtech360 "passes" on a deer & Rob "passes" on a deer. I think the deer in Rob's situation came MUCH closer to death had he decided to shoot. Like I said it's a small nit pick, and many times your phrase holds true, but not always.
