Hunting a corn field is legal, putting corn out as bait is not legal. Hunting an apple orchard is legal, dumping a bushel of apples on the ground and hunting over it is not legal. The same applies for any crop be it melons or acorns. Dumping a pile of acorns would be a crime too but hunting in an oak grove is legal.
