The "Accutrigger" is a great option. Having a crisp trigger, set like you want it is one of the keys to great shooting. As for the $140 adder ... not sure if it is worth that. Might want to price something like a Timney brand replacement trigger for the Savage. Might be $40-$50 less. I have put a bunch of these in the older Ruger Mk II rifles, which came with a huge pull weight (that was practically a nightmare to adjust) from the factory. The Timney triggers are nice and easy to install and simple adjust. Just not sure what they offer for the Savage line. Check their web site.

Do you have an "Academy Sports" chain store close? If so they are running a "sale" here (Alabama) on a Savage with the Accutrigger right now for about $430 or so. I saw the ad yesterday, but do not recall the exact $$$.
