I agree with Bigbulls, If your not going to hunt by salty coastal waters, no need for the XCR. The Rem 700 SPS in stainless would work out great. The only reason I got an XCR over the SPS is that it happened to be marked down on clearance because it was a year old model. One more thing, I really do like the rubber inlayed grips on the XCR.
I have a couple of years left before I do pick one up but this is the front runner because in a weapon like this I want it to be able to do everything and go anywhere. I may or may not go hunting up in AK or near salty waters, who knows I don't even know myself..
