Thought the crud ring was bad with Winchester 209 primers. Then i tried the Winchester 777 primers and the crud ring was worse. Solved the problem when i abandoned 777.
Thats what happened to me to and it carboned up the area just beyond the 209 so bad that it started missfireing in a dozen shots.
Guns with out any apparent differances will often give different results when it comes to accuracy and fouling this is one of the circumstances where the only way to get answers is to try different things until you find something that works in your gun. Lee
