My dad just bought a Rem. 700 ML from a friend, the pamplet that came with the gun says to use #11 caps, but they nipple is to large for one, and to small for a 209. The gun has never been fired, was won in a raffle, any suggestions?
Unless your dad just wants to shoot #11 or musket caps, he might want to consider buying the 209 conversion from Cabela's. I've never heard anything bad about them. I have read and heard reports of people having iginition problems w/the 700's until they converted. That seemed to cure it.
Just an idea to think about.

Here's the link to the conversion:

Cabela’s 209 Conversion
Boy that is cheap for a conversion, the Knight "regular disc" to the new red Disc is like $100 at Cabelas. I would go with that just from the hotter iginition and less than $50 (1/2 tank of gas).
