See if they have a 20 ga., that light single shot with a 12 ga. slug won't feel any better than the 338, maybe worse. I got a Rossi single shot rifle for my son last year. I was surprised at the quality especially considering it cost so little. The wood is nice and it shoots well. Not the prettiest thing you ever saw, but it puts a hole where you want one, so...
