Not sure what you mean because the X-bolt is a Browning.

IMO they made some definite mechanical improvements over the A-bolt. Better adjustable trigger, better bolt design, better and stronger extractor, center feed, able to unload with the safety on, slimmer receiver.

As far as the looks department goes they really screwed up. IMO it is a abomination of an ugly rifle. Not so bad in a black / blued synthetic cause it all works togetherbut the wood stocked rifles ..... [:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]
