Couldn't you tie a piece of loop material through that hole in the cocking mechanism and loosely around your wrist?
I suppose you could....and I eluded to that, earlier. it would be a very small cord. (which may be just fine!)

As far as that goes....I could run the larger cord through the index finger hole, probably.
