You guys are funny! It's 6 pounds, come one. How hard is it to carry a six pound bow plus accessories?
In all actuality try lugging that 6lb bow all day for 5 days on an Elk hunt or something like that. That 6lbs would feel like 60lbs. Especially when there are equivelent bows out there that would be a full pound lighter after being fully decked out.
It's no worse than lugging a rifle of similar weight.


I agree that some of the Hoyts are heavy compared to a lot of other bows. I have an '07 VectrixXL, and it's a bit heavy, but I like it for the stability it provides because of this. I only carry it to my stand where it getsset in my bow holder, so the weight isn't an issue for me.
