Honeysuckle isan awesome deer attractive.
Honesuckle is very invasive though. It spreads like wildfire. If you don't keep it in check, it gets out of control in no time at all. I just spent a week cutting down a bunch of honeysuckle that was choking out a native prairie on my property.
If you don't have anything to eat it then yes. Here in SC it doesn't stand a chance unless its in an area with a very low deer density. I felt the same way about it until i seen how it draws deer. Now I fertlize it.
Deer also love Kudzu, but I would shoot someone who brought Kudzu seeds onto my property. Talk about taking it over. The state of SC really needs to start looking into getting read of the Kudzu. Its taking over.
