I couldn't agree more!It is easy to get caught up with all the gadgets and toys of hunting. Of all of my memories of being out in the woods maybe 5% of them have anything to do with how much money I spent on gadgets. One of my best moments in the woods came when I was able watch two bucks fight from only about 20 yards away. For those few moments I was an ovserver. I couldn't do anything but watch. It felt great!
I have also found that working on food plots with the one who taught me to hunt, my father, has made deer hunting a year round activity that has little to do with all of the gadgets I buy. It is about spending time doing what you enjoy with the people who hopefully enjoy being with you.
Once again, great post. It really got me to thinkin'! This is not somethingI should do on a regular basis.[8D]
