I just got a Remington 700 SPS Varmit 22.250. The trigger is the nastiest trigger I've ever felt from the factory. I took it to Gander Mountain yesterday and dropped it off for a trigger job. The smith was not there and the guy that wrote my ticket asked me if it was a Mark X trigger.(I think) He said if it was a Mark X that a trigger job was probably not possible. I don't understand that. I have had trigger jobs on 2 other 700's and they came out great. (3lbs, no creep) The smith will not be in until tomorrow.

Question 1. Did this guy know what he was talking about?

Question 2. If a trigger job is not going to help, what aftermarket trigger would you recommend? This is going to be my coyote gun and I want it to shoot pretty good.
