If he is there to take a deer then why would he not do something to get the deer within range?
If he's playing the wind, religiously, why would he do anything to make a deer want to come in from DOWNwind of him?
I've grunted in and killed 3 that did not circle down wind. In fact, every buck that i have had come into the grunt did not circle downwind.
Yeah, DC....but do you not marvel at how "random" some of this stuff is? I mean....I KNOW both my 8 pointers came from downwind, also.
All this (and your results)proves is......nothing's a given. I think we need to use our noggins more....and the "textbook" stuff, less.
