This weekend I will be bushhogging about 35 acres of the larger field in the pictures. Im leaving the cedars and a few briar patches for cover for the rabbits, etc. By Sunday I will have the rest of my ladder stands and my last hanger up. My food plots are in, but the occasional mowing will be the only reason I will be stepping foot on this land after next weekend. I've done my scouting, placed my mineral sites and have moved the cameras around enough to know where the bucks are moving. As I am showing below, I have scouted the main trails that I have seen good sign, all of the red and white oaks, creek crossings, bedding areas, etc. Im closing shop until October to get the human remnants cleared out. I may have the occasional bored day when I do a little scouting but nothing like the depths that some of these trails lead to. All in all its about 280 acres, and the best part is when firearms season opens...guess where the deer always go! Across the creek onto my property!
This is the big picture of my original lease and the land that I have acquired since, thanks to JoeyG, and my neighbor (not the lama farmer)[:@]
This next picture is where the food plots are with a few deer trails marked, as well as stand sites. It shows the deer crossings of the creek and a general idea of where I will be hunting mostly muzzleloader and shotgun.
This view is where I have seen the big boys, like tracks in the sand as big as my hand, and trails that look like a motocross trail. I have pictures of some smaller bucks but expect to see the larger ones on Sunday when I recheck the ones that have been out for almost 2 weeks now. You can see on this map the trails, ridgeline, white oaks, bedding areas, crossing of the creek, and suitable trees for my climber. It also shows my last years kill spots, but they were prior to gaining access to this part. The other newly acquired land is mostly marsh with cedar and briars which is the sanctuary Im leaving for JoeyG from HNI who knows the owners of this land. Landon, Eric, Brett, Shultzy, and magicman better get on down and get atree before we clear the place out! This picture is mainly my bowseason plan

Here are just two young ones that are telling me that the bigger ones will be on the camera on Sunday when I check it. These pictures were taken in one night just doing a little exploring.
Best of luck to everyone that has put in all the hard work. If you know where they are it makes it that much easier!
