Its been awhile since I posted on here but just got through reading about the tikka again.I don't or haven't shot the tikka very much lately because have been shooting other rifles, just got through rebarreling a savage with a 260 shelin barrel and got one of the savages F/tr 308's Both are shooting great just like the tikkas though.
Last summer my shooting buddie and I went to a 1000 yd range they didn't have any targets up but did have the shotgun birds that you check your rifle before matches.Buddie took 2 rifles but they didn't do well at 1000.He spotted for me and I zeroed the tikka in on one of the birds,it took me a lot of shots but ended up busting 3 clays, let my buddie shoot it and he got 2 clays in a row with 2 shots.I guess first time luck had a lot to do with it because it was the first time either of us had shot a 1000 yds.We keep saying we are going back but never have it a good distance away from us.
I did try working up a load with the sie 135 bullets and will post it below.Tried a different powder with the hornady 130's and they shot as good as they did with the 4320IMR.
