You can't go wrong with wool. It keeps you warm wet or dry, good cushion for your feet. If you get itchy, use merino wool next to your skin. There's nothing warmer. I'd recommend wool for gloves as well. I do 99% of my cold weather hunting in pairs of army surplus wool gloves. But if your hands get cold, have a set of mitts with hand warmers to slip over your wool gloves. You can always slide them off to take a shot and still have your gloves on.
