I was thinking about deer hunting. (Bowhunting mostly) I know when people are determined to do something in life, they seem to have the utmost confidence. Yet, others seem to never be determined, and lack confidence as well. I think there are some bowhunters that never really gain the confidence they need to get the animal they want. They seem to want it bad enough, but yet, are always doubting that it will happen. I have found that doubt is a failure waiting to happen. What do you guys think of confidence and believing?

I say, I have determined to be more confident this season than I ever have in the past. I really just want to see how much difference it will make overall thru the season. I know we all say we are confident in our equip., scent control, stands/setups, etc, etc, but what about confidence in ourselves? We seem sometimes to have more confidence in the material aspects and the animals than we have in ourselves as hunters. There is something wrong with that picture to me.

Just thinking out loud I suppose.
