RE: Gun for coyote!?
Wickman;
Hi, Well being from Michigan also, you know as well as I do about where you can and can' t use a rifle. My own personal weapons consist of a Remington Model 700 Varmint. In a 22-250 cal. It has a bull barrel, laminated wood grain stock, I had the trigger worked on and it has a trigger pull of 2.5lbs, On this I installed a Burris 6x24x50 scope, in the Signature Series. Talk about a tack driver. The gun is so accurate it' s scarry. But will do the job you want for a coyote. I also have a Marlin .22mag. Model 25MN. On that I have a 3x9 power bushnell. I also have had the trigger worked on this also. And on fox and coyote up close will also do the job. And if I' m in some really heavy cover I use a Remington Model 870 3 1/2 mag. the # 4' s do a great job on the yotes. But again buying a good rifle is like buying a good truck. Everyone has their own ideas which is the best. So I guess it' s really up to you on what caliber you like. But to tell you the truth, the 22-250 is hard to beat. Good Luck Hunting.
