i have see throughs on my winchester 30-30 and my remington 7600. never had problems with weakness of the mounts after 100-s of rounds and the stock on some rifles like the remington 7600 allows for you to slide your cheek foward or back to the proper height for use of either site. i prefer the use of the scope mostly but on some rifles the see throughs work just fine.

liquidorange - with those guns have you ever used the iron sights on game? I always ask this question of those with see throughs, and have yet to find someone who has done so.
