i have see throughs on my winchester 30-30 and my remington 7600. never had problems with weakness of the mounts after 100-s of rounds and the stock on some rifles like the remington 7600 allows for you to slide your cheek foward or back to the proper height for use of either site. i prefer the use of the scope mostly but on some rifles the see throughs work just fine.
