I actually dont care for it on deer. I think polished bone looks better IMO.

I had an opportunity on opening day last year to take a 110" 8pt in full velvet, and passed... I wouldnt have, and didnt shoot him w/o the velvet later in the season..

I would never shoot a deer just to shoot one in velvet, however if a brusier gave me a shot while in velvelt I would not let it go
