Default Second stand hung...getting closer.

Alright, while many of you fellas were at work today, I was sweating my butt off hanging my second stand (tough job, but someone has to do it)[8D] This was an area I could have arrowed two nice mature does on opening day last season, and I plan to have this be primarily a "nanny-whacker" stand if I can steal RJ's terminology. Anyways, the stand sits along a logging road in the middle of a small oak cluster to the east of a pine bedding area. Additionally, I'm just south of my .75acre clover/rye plot. I should be able to catch them moving from bedding to feeding both with acorns, and the plot.

Here are some pictures:

Looking north to the food plot. You can see the standing rye.

Looking toward the bedding area. Note the logging road coming down. They seem to like coming up/down this road when the acorn crop is good and eat the easily accessbile acorns on the road first.

Behind me to the south. The road continues on down.

Hope everyone's summer is going well, and perpartions are going smoothly.
