Default RE: Dragging deer with a deer sled?

ORIGINAL: nodog

I couldn't figure the roll up one out, seemed like I was knitting a sweater or something. I like the ridged plastic sleds with holes in the rim for tieing them down. It is amazing what you can easily drag a deer over, under and around with one of those things.

I just take care of things and go and get it. Not trying to carry everything out at once that way. Most do just that with a 4 wheeler.
I agree, while I've never used the soft type, modifying the hard plastic sleds a little (my choice is with a ratchet strap) they become very secure and easy to drag over even big obsticles like smaller diameter fallen trees. The sled I use actually belongs to my boss and is the smaller sized "jet sled" from cabelas...definetly go the larger one if you pick this route. We also drilled the front so it's now pulled by a greater length of higher quality rope.
