Is that all you plan on doing is just putting a synthetic stock on your gun? I put a McMillan stock on my Model 70 338 Winnie last year and also had it glass bedded and free floated. Also had the trigger set to 3 1/2 pounds. It was a decent shooter before, but it' s my most accurate gun that I have now. My `smith did a great job, I think, and I print 3/4 inch groups and sometimes smaller if I do my part.
