Default How do you explain archery to a know it all?

I work with a guy, and he is planning on buying a crossbow this year, (he has a bow an older Mathews MQ32 which he says shoots 335 fps, atleast thats what the pawn shop told him, I said "I dont think so" and he said "oh yeah its really fast"). Anyway, we got to talking about broadheads and he was telling me he is gonna shoot mechanicals (which is fine with me I dont care what he shoots) because he never could get fixed heads to fly right. I tried to explain to him that trying to use mechanicals as a band aid to cover up poorly tuned bowonly hurts you. I told him to make sure everything was tuned right before he tried mechanicals. he says "oh they tuned my bow and sighted it in for me when I bought it" ( in 2003 ).I tried to explain to him that a mechanical has to hit a deer square for optimal performance, not at an angle due to a wobbly arrow. He then proceeds to tell me he shot a deer quarting away before and never had a problem, thats when I saidI dont think you are getting whatI am talking about. I try to help out but man, he wasnt hearing me at all.

This is also guy that I had to explain to last year that deer hunting with a gobbler guillotine was a bad idea and he couldnt understand why. Hmmmm But he knows everything....

PS. Sorry guysI had to vent.....
