To answer your bolded question.
Yes its in the same general area, but not near the stands I feel are my best shots to kill a mature buck from.
Say I'm in a stand where the place I absolutely DON'T want the wind to go is to the NW. But the deer may come from the SW all the way to the E, I'll take my chances with a wind that is bouncing from W to N. I'm not going to bail even though technically, all I am left with is a window for deer approaching between the SW & S.
In reality Ryan I wouldn't myself want to educate the doe's in the area as well with an iffy wind but I understand its worked for you in the pass. It seems with me anyway that the more doe's I educate through the season the worse my hunting all together is (buck hunting as well).
I'm not knocking your hunting at all Ryan, we just go about it in different ways and there's nothing wrong with that. Your ways have worked well for you.
