Wouldn't you have to pick a side of the spine (unless you were aiming directly at the spine) whether he was facing directly away, directly at your tree, to the left or to the right as long as he was standing directly under you?

If you pick a side of the spine (him facing N-S)...then it wouldn't matter WHICH pin you chose, really (speaking in terms of trying to illustrate my point). We're only talking about 3-4 inches off, here, anyways. So......you hit 3-4 inches further back. If the scenario is how I described it.....those 3-4 inches mean a LOT more.
Like I said....I set it up exactly how I wanted to to get the answers I was looking for.
