HELLO? Yes, did you bother reading any of the above posts? They actually proved in more than one test that the 45-70 was one of the worst deflecting cartridges. There was an article on it a few years back in American Rifleman, and one in Guns and Ammo and I believe even one in Outdoor Life or Field and Stream. At any rate all bullets deflect. As I said before even a 12 gauge slug will deflect. There is no such thing as a brush cartridge. Never was, never will be.
