Some of these folkssay when you take it out of the quiver you need to check the blades? How about shootin' a fixed blade Thunderhead, Stinger,Snuffer, or any fixed blade for that matter, that you NEVER have to check to make sure it will shoot right. I don't want to have to check my dad gum blades when I take em outta the quiver, that's just a waste of time and money, and maybe a waste of a shot at a trophy buck. Say you shoot at a buck and miss, (even the best miss every now and then, Jordan did it on a DVD), then you have to quickly pull another arrow to try and get another shot if possible.......are you gonna have time to look at the blade and check to see if it's still in tact? NO. If you would just shoot a fixed blade and stop giving your money to RAGE, you wouldn't have to worry about whether or not your blade is gonna open or not.The less mechanics involved, the less that can go wrong. I won't be checkin any of my broadheads right outta the quiver this year, I willknow that they're gonna fly just like I want em to.
Amen!!! I have never understood the logic of usingmechanicals. If it only fails one time, then that is one time too many. There are have been many horror stories about these broadheads,so there must be some validity to the failure stories.

I've never had one issue of taking a deer with a good fixed broadhead.(KISS) Keep It Simple Stupid. [:-]
