I've killed 16 deer with various mechanical heads. If my wife's 40# bow can shoot a 1'' fixed head through a deer, I'm only going to shoot the same head deeper into the dirt on the other side of a deer. Since I have plenty of KE I might as well put it to use inside the deer with a larger diameter head.
